    英德種茶和產(chǎn)茶歷史悠久，可以追溯到距今1200多年前的唐朝。據(jù)唐代陸羽所著《茶經(jīng)》記載：“嶺南生福州、泉州、韶州、象州……，往往得之，其味極佳”，當時韶州植茶包括英德、曲江等。

    英德是廣東最大的紅茶產(chǎn)區(qū)，是“中國紅茶之鄉(xiāng)”。1959年，直接利用云南大葉種鮮葉成功研制出英德紅茶，90年代初研究開發(fā)出品質超卓的金毫茶產(chǎn)品，成為紅茶之最，被譽為“東方金美人”。英德紅茶色澤油潤，細嫩勻整，香氣濃郁，滋味甜潤，茶色紅艷，與滇紅、祁紅并稱為中國三大紅茶。其中，英德皇室特別推崇英德紅茶，經(jīng)常用其招待貴賓。

    我們茶葉世界是一個以廣東省農(nóng)業(yè)科學院茶葉研究所的科研基地為基礎，中國紅茶之鄉(xiāng)——英德作為背景，以茶文化為主題，集文化性、科普性、參與性為一體的農(nóng)業(yè)生態(tài)旅游景區(qū)。

    茶葉研究所1959年創(chuàng)建，已有半個世紀的歷史，是廣東省唯一一個省屬茶葉科研單位，承擔著國家農(nóng)業(yè)部、省科技廳等上級部門的重點科研攻關項目30多項，共取得各種科研成果、專利50多項。是我省茶葉產(chǎn)業(yè)帶的技術支撐單位，也是省名優(yōu)生態(tài)茶葉重點科研基地和省科協(xié)科普教育基地。在這里，你可以種茶、采茶、炒茶、品茶、賞荼....親臨其景，親手勞作，不僅使您品味到遠古茶農(nóng)純樸的生活，更令您忘卻都市的煩囂，回歸自然、釋放自我。

    這里是國家茶樹資源圃華南分圃，也是廣東省茶樹種質資源圃，共保存有1213份活體茶樹資源。有人們熟悉的、不熟悉的紅茶、綠茶、烏龍茶的茶樹品種，品種繁多、應有盡有，連國際市場名氣極大的印度阿薩姆種也占有一席之地。

    這里保存茶樹資源采用兩種方式。一種是種植后任其自然生長，另一種是采用人工栽培管理。不同品種、不同特點、千姿百態(tài)、五顏六色，令人留連忘返。

    這里是茶葉研究所無公害茶葉生產(chǎn)示范園。它是根據(jù)綠色食品生態(tài)環(huán)境標準建立的，茶園的規(guī)劃和布局十分合理，茶樹與相思樹、鳳凰樹錯落有致，茶園規(guī)格化、條理化、園林化。茶園種植遮蔭樹，不僅可以適合茶樹生長特性，而且能優(yōu)化茶園生態(tài)環(huán)境，改善茶園小氣候條件，達到保護天敵、減少茶樹病蟲害的發(fā)生。無公害茶園嚴格控制農(nóng)藥使用量，并盡量少施化學肥料，多施豬屎、牛糞、農(nóng)家肥等有機肥。使茶葉產(chǎn)品達到無公害、綠色食品或有機食品的要求，生產(chǎn)出真正的放心茶。

    我們現(xiàn)在已來到制茶車間。這里能生產(chǎn)出紅茶、綠茶、烏龍茶、白茶、黃茶、黑茶等六大類茶葉產(chǎn)品。茶葉的分類是根據(jù)茶葉生產(chǎn)工藝而定的，參觀制茶車間后您將會明白各類茶葉制作過程和工藝，您也會知道烏龍茶、金毫茶、銀毫茶、英紅九號等名優(yōu)茶的生產(chǎn)原理和方法。

    這里是茶文化展覽室。這里有圖片、實物展覽。通過參觀，您將了解茶的歷史文化，茶的起源，茶的發(fā)現(xiàn)與利用，茶的傳播、種植、加工、飲用、貿易等。并能初步了解茶與佛、儒、道的關系，了解茶文化。

The world of Tea

    Welcome to Yingde tea world!

    With along history, Yingde tea and tea production can be traced back to 1200 years ago in the Tang dynasty. According to the recorded of Book of Tea written by LuYu in Tang Dynasty, the tea planted in Lingnan, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Shaozhou and Xiangzhou tasting excellent flavor, then Shaozhou tea including Yingde, Qujiang and soon.

    Yingde is the largest tea-producing area in Guangdong Province, known as Town of Chinese Black Tea. In 1959, the direct use of Yunnan big leaves species successfully developed Yingde black tea. In the early 1990s, they researched and developed asuperior quality tea products which acts as the best of black tea, known as the Oriental gold beauty. Yingde black tea with oily color, neat and delicate,aroma and sweet taste, together with Dianhong and Qihong were known as the three major black tea in China. Among them, Yingde black tea is highly praised by British royal family and often served for their guests of honor.

    The world of Tea is a research base for the foundation for Tea Research Institute of Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. With Yingde as a background and the tea culture as the theme, the world of tea is a agricultural eco-tourism scenic spot combines to culture, science popularization and participation.

    Tea research institute was founded in 1959, with a history of nearly half acentury, is the exclusive provincial tea research unit in Guangdong Province. It commits to 30 key scientific and technological projects that are arranged by National ministry of agriculture and provincial scientific and technological department.The institute has successfully won a total of 50 scientific research achievements and patents. It is the technical support unit of the tea industry in Guangdong province, but also is a key provincial famous ecological tea research base and provincial association base for science education. Here,you can have tea trees planting, tea plucking, fried tea leaves and tea tasting.When you enjoy the ancient farmers of the simple life, meanwhile you may release yourself and far away from the hustle and bustle of city.

    Here is the south garden of the national tea plant resource garden, which is also the tea plant resource garden in Guangdong Province with 1213 living tea resources.There’re a wide variety of tea, including the black tea, green tea, oolong tea and so on. Even the Indian Assam tea which was awarded great reputation on international market also played an important role.

    There are two ways in saving tea tree resources. One is let it grow naturally after planting, the other is taking the use of artificial cultivation management. You’ll be attracted by the different varieties, different characteristics and color indifferent kinds of the tea trees.

    Here is pollution-free tea production demonstration garden in the Tea Research Institute. It is built according to ecological standards of green food, and the tea garden planning and layout is very reasonable. With tea and acacia, phoenix tree patchwork, tea standardized are well-organized inside the garden. Tea planting shade trees are not only suitable for tea growth characteristics, but also to optimize ecological environment and improve micro-climate conditions in tea garden. What’s more, it helps to keep away from the predators and reducethe occurrence of diseases of insect pests. Pollution-free tea garden is strictly control the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizer as little as possible, butusing pig’s dung, cow’s dung, manure and other organic fertilizer. Making the teaproducts meet the standard requirements of pollution-free, green or organicfood, thus produce a truly assured tea for customer.

    We have come to the tea shop now. Here isthe place where can produce black tea, green tea, oolong tea, white tea, yellowtea, black tea and other six categories of tea products. Classification of teais based on tea production process, after visiting the tea shop you will seeall kinds production process and techniques of tea. And you'll also know the principles or methods of producing oolong tea，Jinhao tea, Yin Hao tea, the Yinghong Nine tea and other famous tea.

    Here is the tea culture exhibition room. There are pictures and objects for exhibition.By visiting, you will learn the history of tea culture, the origin of tea, thediscovery and use of tea, and also the propagation, cultivation, processing,consumption and trade of tea. Besides, you also can gain a preliminary understanding of tea culture of the relationship between tea and Buddhism,Confucianism and Taoism.
